Peter Ragauss appointed Honorary Consul to Latvia

BAFF Board Member, Peter Ragauss, was confirmed as Honorary Consul to the Republic of Latvia for the State of Texas, in December 2017.  Mr. Ragauss earned this title due to his years of dedication to promoting Latvian culture and business in the energy sector. Of Latvian descent, Peter’s full name is Pēteris Aloizs Ragaušs. He has served on the BAFF Board since 2015, and has demonstrated a very warm hospitality to Fellows who come to work in the Houston area. Mr. Ragauss retired from Baker Hughes in November 2014 after eight years as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Apache Corporation and The Williams Companies.

The Latvian Consulate to Texas held a ceremony in which The Ambassador of Latvia to the United States, Mr. Andris Teikmanis, “wished good luck to honorary consul Pēteris Ragaušs with promoting Latvian-Texan business relations and cooperation in culture and education in the new centennial of Latvia.”
