Ambassador Volunteer
Program

The Ambassador program provides BAFF alumni opportunities to volunteer their time and knowledge to support BAFF's mission: deepening the ties between and among Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the United States on economic growth and democratic values.

It’s a rewarding chance to give back to the alumni community and future program participants while expanding your skills and network. Alumni of all programs and ages are welcome and no specific skill set is needed.

What do Ambassadors do?

Ambassadors serve a one-year renewable term, during which they should contribute to at least two volunteering initiatives. Here are examples of volunteering opportunities:

  • Create and develop ideas for alumni programs and events

  • Help organize BAFF events and programs for other alumni, including planning in a group, promotion, sending invitations, and volunteering at in-person events

  • Promote BAFF in their communities by sharing their experience with students at university career fairs

  • Review applications for BAFF’s Leadership Academy program for high schoolers

  • When approached by staff, represent BAFF in interviews or articles for local TV, news or radio and other awareness-raising opportunities

  • No. All help is appreciated, even for a single time or just an hour, so all alumni can also volunteer without signing up for the program. Signing up for the program just helps them know about more opportunities and provides more support. Keep an eye on our monthly newsletters and private social media groups for open calls for volunteering opportunities.
