PORTLAND SCAVENGER HUNT: IN THE WORDS OF LEADERSHIP ACADEMY PARTICIPANT, BRITA TONISSON

Portland is amazing! The Leadership program is amazing. All the youngsters are thrilled to be here and participate. We are having a really great time and enjoying ourselves. On the first day we went to Southern Portland for a scavenger hunt. We were given maps and 15 clues which we had to figure out. We greeted the teams and started the hunt. All the clues leaded us to shops or businesses. It was tiring and quite challenging but now we know Portland better than some locals do! Also it was a way to get used to English. After the approximately two hour hunt we all got an amazing prize- ice cream! It was so delicious. Blueberry flavor became the most famous one among us.
